In the last few years I have met many foreigners living in Romania. I also have lots of foreign friends everywhere. Every now and then, but on regular basis, I hear how Romania or Romanians are and I am being asked about that. Here is the beginning of a cultural guide to getting to know Romania and Romanians with good and bad, so feel free to have have your say. Many other countries are doing this unconventional research, so, why not us too?!

I agree with everything you said except for your views on Basescu, he didn't move at all things forward as I see it, and he is by nothing different of the rest of the old class, "former" comunists leaders, just with a bigger appetite for power, he is in the end a showman (or more of a clown as I see him) with a lot of carisma, I'll give him that, but no integrity.

You have right, but politicians are satisfied with their jobs, even more so than other CEO`s or corporate business. So I understand from this that politicians, our employees, (We, the People) like their work, think is vital, and find it rewarding. However, they are not looking for even stronger leadership. Our politicians, huge part of them at least, have no performance culture. I`ve learned that you are public servant in "that huge bulding" ...What about an Annual Employee Climate Survey for public servants?
