yes “not only am i perfect” But yes i do get the funny side of this….why is it romanians are never in the wrong?? it is always someone elses fault..and always they can never fully admit they are wrong???? just a culture thing i suppose similar to the english presuming the whole world speaks english…

nice one though at least romanians can make fun of themselves…unlike some other nations..oohh as long as its not them personally that is..

It is very sad to admit that the whole world does not speak English………. It is normally that awful, dreadful, perversion and bastardisation of the language called American!!! Go to America, ask to use the “Bathroom” then ask them where the bath is!! Gets them every time…………

Howard, the Romanians speak better “Engleesh” than the Brits, and by quite a wide margin. Go to Ingluund, and ask to use “the loo…,” then ask them “in leiu of what, a paper bag instead?

I think it’s better as it is… with the incorrect use of english…. makes it even funnier! As for English people assuming the whole world speaks english – they mostly do! It is a problem for most brits because there is no motivation to learn other languages – because everyone wants to learn and speak english – which of course is now THE international language of the world. I have discovered that most young Romanians speak excellent english – sometimes even better than many english people I know.

Well if you are Romanian then you must be one of them who cannot speak English, you cannot even write Englsh)

To get your facts straight the English Language origins are from Germany,Denmark and France. Many words which are used in everyday speech in England come from William Shakespeare, as well as from Germany, Denmark and especially France. We also have the Celtic language spoken mainly in Scotland and Ireland.

As for your comments well in lieu means instead of and has no connection to loo (toilet)which originates from the cry of ‘gardyloo’ (from the French regardez l’eau ‘watch out for the water’) which was shouted by medieval servants as they emptied the chamber-pots out of the upstair windows into the street.

Both are French words used in the United kingdom, this is part of our language, so why are you laughing at us? Why don’t you actually Learn our language then you might have a better understanding.

There is a culture of betrayal in Rumania which leftist Rumanians and their American allies have neatly covered up. Rumania betrayed Germany in World War I AND World War II. The king betrayed his own people in 1944 and sent the Rumania Army to fight againast their allies. There is much evidence of Rumanian betrayal if you look at what they did. But if you try to find written material on it, it is suppressed.

I do not want the whole world to speak English I cringe when overseas and notice that foreigners have adopted the most crude Africanized version of American ohne kultur. The israelis are particularly loathsome with their many rap pseudo-musicians.

Why isn’t the character of Europeans or Asians sufficient for them to have their own culture? their own values? their own movies.
It is disgusting to see them leeche onto American crudity and go insane with worship of cretins like Michael Jackson and Hussein Obama.
Why don’t they have their own heros? Take lessons from Hindu India.
America is a balkanized, africanized wasteland of communism and greed.
Why are foreigners so without character, self realization, pride in their historic traditions and culture, that they become faceless non-persons grimacing their way into the future as wiggers?

Most people abroad are not like this, It is only in the city slums of USA and London you find gangs which adopt a ganster type of culture, because they are poor ignorant people who do not know any better.,

People dislike Americans and English because we stand up for ourselves and we fight in other countries to free people from dictators and so on. You only need to look at your own history in Romania regarding dictators, but alas there is no country in this world who does not have a black dark history, everybody is the same.

You say take lessons from Hindu India why??? look what has happened in India recently regarding inocent American and English people, is this the way forward. Shoot people because of where they come from leaving . children without mothers and fathers so near to Christmas time. Its is crel sadistic evil people my friend and if religions believe in this then that is not a religion i would want to follow,

I would like to put this across to you if Muselims hate the Western culture then why are they using the internet, why do they wear trainers, denim jeans, why do they watch TV. use a phone, Travel in cars and planes. use roads, bridges etc in there normal life, (i could cite many more things here)

These are all invented by western europeans and americans so my question is fine we will pull out of your countries and blow up all that has been invented by us and ban them from the use of cars clothes and the internet etc, because you do not want our culture, they cannot despise western culture and embrace it at the same time.

Artists: Salvador Dali,Leonardo Da Vinci,Henri Matisse Claude Monet Pablo Picasso Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec Andy Warhol Vincent Van Gogh etc

inventors: Louis Pasteur,Thomas Edison, Alexander Graham Bell.Henry Ford,Charles Babbage, Johannes Gutenberg, The Wright brothers etc

Shakespeare, I could go on these are a few heroes which people admire in western europe and the USA. People do not admire michael jackson we here think he is a sad freak, USA and especially Western Europe has a long and interesting history with a wonderful diverse culture. We are not all driven my greed of money.

There is alot of people in the west like there are in the east that are very nice people, it is the minority which set countries against each other, not all muslims are the same and there many I know who are angry that these terroists are using there religion as an excuse to commit murders.

I think you should be ashamed to judge all westerners like this, you offend me

so i slipped up with the spelling of one word which happened because of the comments i read which made angry

It seems that alot of Romanian people on this blog have alot of resentment towards Western people and only want to see the worst of what the West has. Maybe it makes you feel good or are you in denial that your country is poor and cannot accept other people abroad are happy and have a wealth. Which your government cannot give you. They cannot even repair your streets in Bucharest.

If you are happy then stand for parliment yourself and change things

Does anyone know of anywhere in Bucharest that import DVDs abroad or any online websites that you can buy Romanian Movies?

I would like to buy some Romanian films starring Marcel especially Logodnicci din America, can anyone reading this blog help in anyway?

Had no reply regarding online websites so maybe there isn’t any, I am thinking of travelling to Romania in Autumn and so could buy the DVDs from a shop instead. Would anyone know of any good shops in Bucharest which sells a wide range of movies on DVDs?.

Ah well least I tried this blog for an answer but it was not to be. So Its back to the internet and google to try and find what I am looking for.

Do all Romanians go hysterical at the slightest thing, screaming and shouting and getting so worked up I am afraid they may have a heart attack

Or is it just some people in (Bucharest) that need serious help with their mental health, there seems to be alot of really miserable rather strange people living there

Outside of Bucharest people are very kind and very nice people. It must be constant inhaling of car fumes that has made them psycho
